The NBA Summer League is a great chance for young players to get development and to begin adjusting to life in the NBA. With the Salt Lake City Summer League kicking off with the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics, all eyes were on Ben Simmons and the rest of the young talent on the floor.
Simmons wasted no time making an impact early in the Summer League. He decided to show off his lethal passing prowess right off the bat. With Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot streaking down the court, Simmons put the ball right between two defenders and Luwawu-Cabarrot took it the rest of the way for for the impressive layup.
While Simmons’ shot is going to be a work in progress, he has a pro ready offense simply because of his ability to pass and find his teammates in transition.
He was also working the boards early and scoring some points of his own. If 76ers fans needed any more optimism about how just good he can be, it was a great start to his career in the Summer League.
