Heading into the 2016-17 NHL season, fans can expect these five players to have a bounce back year after having a rough 2015-16 season.

Hockey can be an extremely cruel game. Games are often determined by the way a puck bounces. An unlucky bounce can cost a team everything, especially in the playoffs. On the other hand, a lucky bounce can mean everything. Even NHL players are not immune to the cruel nature of hockey.

There were players who, for any number of reasons, had a rough season in 2015-16. Whether it was injuries or simply bad luck (or maybe even a combination of the two), certain players did not live up to expectations. Not all players who failed to perform at the level that fans expected them to play at will be able to bounce back. However, five players jump out as candidates to do just that.

Each of these players could be potential fantasy hockey bargains, depending on how they are viewed in fantasy. Keep an eye on these five players. If any of them are available late, they could help you win.

These five players frustrated their team and their fans during the 2015-16 season. But they have what it takes to rebound to something closer to what fans expect.
