Russell Wilson in dance-off with Ciara, Rob Gronkowski as old lady (Video)

Russell Wilson showed his funny side this past week, dressing up as an old lady to crash a dance-off between his wife, Ciara, and Rob Gronkowski.

Most of the time when we see Russell Wilson we see a steely-eyed quarterback leading his Seattle Seahawks down the field. On Sunday night, when Thursday’s 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards airs, you will be able to see the signal-caller in a new light.

During the event, New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski and Wilson’s wife, Ciara, had a dance off. While Ciara obviously won, it was Wilson who won the fans, dressing up as an old lady to take part in the battle as well. He danced and talked in a high-pitched voice, before revealing it was him.

Wilson, who is hosting the event for the second time, did an incredible job in his hosting duties. The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards get to show the best athletes in the world in a fun light and shows children how likable some of these athletes can be.

One of the big winners of the night was Kobe Bryant, the former Los Angeles Lakers legend who was honored with Legends Award during the event. Bryant, who won five NBA championships for the Lakers, was covered in gold slime while being honored.

Wilson and the Seahawks open up their 2016 slate on September 11 at home against the Miami Dolphins. They will be without star running back Marshawn Lynch, who retired at the end of last season. The Seahawks lost 31-24 to the Carolina Panthers in the Divisional Round last season and are expected to contend for the NFC title again this year.

The 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards will air on Nickelodeon on Sunday, July 17 at 8:00pm ET from Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
