Santana Moss played 14 NFL seasons, including 10 with the Washington Redskins. However, he apparently wasn’t a fan of Robert Griffin, III at quarterback.

Appearing on ‘Countdown to Training Camp’ on CSN Mid-Atlantic, former wide receiver for the Washington Redskins Santana Moss had to rank the top five quarterbacks he played with in his 10 years with Washington.

Overall since his time at the University of Miami, Moss played with 18 different quarterbacks. However, he was apparently not a fan of Robert Griffin, III’s game, as Moss had the former franchise quarterback of the Redskins ranked fifth out of five behind Mark Brunell, Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman, and Jason Campbell, respectively.

Yes, the rise and fall of Griffin in four seasons with Washington was well documented, but apparently, his one stellar season in 2012 wasn’t enough to have Moss all that enticed to have him up higher on his Redskins quarterback rankings.

While Brunell was a star for Tom Coughlin’s Jacksonville Jaguars and McNabb was the face of Andy Reid’s Philadelphia Eagles for years, neither did much of anything quarterbacking the Redskins. They were Pro Bowl players before arriving in Washington toward the end of their careers and maybe that’s what Moss was getting at, but they weren’t exactly great for the Redskins at any point.

Grossman had brief success quarterbacking the 2006 Chicago Bears to a Super Bowl thanks to a phenomenal Lovie Smith defense. Though never a star with Washington, Grossman did play a bulk of his NFL career in the Nation’s Capital as a Shanahan offense disciple.

Campbell was a star in college at Auburn but never lived up to the hype as the other first round draft quarterback in the 2005 NFL Draft that saw Alex Smith go to the San Francisco 49ers and Aaron Rodgers fall to the Green Bay Packers in the 20s. Smith is a Pro Bowler, Rodgers is almost certainly Canton bound, and Campbell was a solid career backup quarterback in his prime.

Overall, Moss must not have liked how Griffin conducted himself in the Redskins locker room in their three years together (2012-14). Griffin was clearly the most talented of any quarterbacks he had to choose from, but it seems that Moss still has his issues with the first-round bust turned new starter for the hapless Cleveland Browns in Griffin.
