Identifying the top high salary and value third baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 22 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jake Lamb, Diamondbacks (5,400): Lamb went hitless in two games at home against the Toronto Blue Jays, but he has a prime opportunity to bounce back Friday on the road against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Dan Straily (4-6, 4.07 ERA). Lamb is hitting .322 against righties and his .618 slugging percentage still ranks second in the majors only to David Ortiz (.673). Lamb is an expensive but elite play.

Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays (5,300): Donaldson has been on fire lately, going a combined 7-for-14 with six RBIs over his last three games. He should keep that momentum going Friday against Seattle Mariners southpaw James Paxton (2-4, 4.56 ERA). Donaldson has crushed left-handed pitching this season (.349, .628 slugging), which could mean a long night for Paxton.

High Value

Manny Machado, Orioles (3,700): The matchup with Cleveland Indians righty Trevor Bauer (7-3, 3.36 ERA) could be tough, but if the Orioles catch Bauer on one of his bad nights, it could be quite profitable. Machado has had notable personal success against Bauer (5-for-8, two HRs), so he’s certainly deserving of consideration, especially at this discounted price.

Jose Reyes, Mets (3,100): Players that offer some power and speed, like Reyes, are particularly valuable when trying to find cheaper value plays. Reyes has three home runs in just 12 games since rejoining the Mets, and he has a pair of stolen bases. He’s hitting .278 against lefties, so he’s solid bet to get on base against Miami Marlins lefty Adam Conley (6-5, 3.61 ERA).
