Stephen Curry was competing with Justin Timberlake at the American Century Championship. On and off the links, as he made JT pay for a 3-point attempt.

The NBA season ended about a month ago with disappointment for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. The season that saw Curry win his second straight MVP and the Warriors win a NBA record 73 wins came without a title.

Curry, though, still gets the title for swag. His devastating step backs and sly smiles as he torched teams with incredible 3-point range will forever mark that season and his play.

Curry is regaining that swagger on the basketball court in little ways. And he does a lot of work on that in the offseason on the golf course, where he is also a scratch golfer.

At this weekend’s American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Curry was among the celebrities to hit the links. Curry was subject to his fair share of taunts mostly for his dancing, but he got the last laugh over some of the scratch celebrity golfers.

At least on Justin Timberlake.

Timberlake took a 3-pointer on a basketball hoop off one of the holes and met the devastating defense of Stephen Curry and his swag-filled finger wag.

Curry is indeed back.

He not only showed off his skills on this makeshift court during the celebrity charity golf tournament, but also was solid on the links.

Timberlake, though, got the last laugh. He finished ahead of Curry in the modified Stableford scoring system. Curry finished in a tie for 27th place while Timberlake finished in 21st, with seven more points.

Even his father, Dell Curry, defeated Stephen Curry. Too bad blocked shots are not included in the point totals. That is not an official golf stat.

Stephen Curry can keep his chin up. He did do much better than Charles Barkley. Barkley finished in dead last with -98 points. Curry and his shot blocking ways win that battle.
