Mick Foley might have spoiled Daniel Bryan going into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017

Daniel Bryan is one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, whether you include his work on the independent scene or only his run in WWE. There has arguably been no superstar in the history of WWE that has been able to organically create the avid following and earn the love and respect of the fans in the way that Daniel Bryan managed.

That fact is why it was so gut-wrenching to see Daniel Bryan have to retire in the prime of his career due to complications from concussions suffered over the years. However, it’s great to see him back in the company now as the WWE Smackdown LIVE general manager and commentating the Cruiserweight Classic. However, Mick Foley might’ve spoiled what’s up next for him while the two GMs were talking on the WWE Battleground pre-show.

Tom Phillips introduced Foley as a Hall of Famer before simply introducing Daniel Bryan, to which Foley replied that Bryan was a Hall of Famer too. Then ensued an awkward moment that seemingly indicated that Foley had just let the cat out of the bag followed by Foley trying to cover his tracks:

That certainly looks like Mick Foley definitely let a major secret slip judging from everyone’s reaction, including his once he realized what he said.

Even if Foley did spoil the surprise, though, it’s hard to say fans won’t still be excited when it becomes official. If there’s one man deserving of a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame right now, Daniel Bryan is that guy.
