Julian Edelman named in paternity suit by Swedish model Ella Rose

Julian Edelman is about to begin a new season in his NFL career, and possibly a new chapter in his life.

Julian Edelman should be concentrating on starting the 2016 NFL season, but instead, he may have a whole other issue on his hands. Ella Rose, whom Edelman has been seeing casually over the past two years, is pregnant, and the New England Patriots wide receiver could be the father.

According to TMZ, the Swedish model named Edelman in a paternity suit that was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Per the report, Rose is already over five months pregnant, and is almost certain that Edelman is the father. For Edelman, this could prove to be an uncomfortable situation, as he currently is seeing someone else.

Recently, TMZ reported that Edelman has been linked to Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima. In the report, Edelman is seen holding hands with Lima as they strolled around Nantucket. Whether he is in a relationship with Lima or not, Edelman is sure to do the right thing if he is in fact the father.

Edelman has played his entire seven-year career with the Patriots after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. A former quarterback at Kent State University, Edelman has become one of the better receivers in all of football, proving to be a very reliable target for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

New England will be without Brady to start the season, as the signal-caller has been suspended for the first four games of the year. After appealing the suspension, Brady decided to end his legal battle, and will agree to the four-game ban. Jimmy Garoppolo, who has started no games in his three-year career, will likely be the Patriots starter to start the season.
