College football season is right around the corner, but when do the bowl games begin this year?

College football bowl season is one of the best seasons of the year. It is a one month stretch of 42 bowl games that go over the course of an entire month. This year, college bowl season begins on Saturday, December 17. This year, the bowl season kicks off with five games to open the season kicking off from noon to 9 PM. It will be a glorious day of non-stop bowl game action.

The season kicks off with the AFC Celebration Bowl, in Atlanta, Georgia. It is followed up by the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, the Las Vegas Bowl, the AutoNation Cure Bowl, the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl and the night ends with the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

While the first five bowls will more than likely feature non-Power five schools, it is still the kick off of one heck of a stretch of football. From December 17th through the beginning of January, there will be at least one college football game on every day of the week except for Sundays.

That will lead up to the two playoff games that take place on New Year’s eve. From there, the Selection Committee Bowl games will take place on January 2nd. And to cap off the long bowl season, the National Championship game will take place on January 9th in Tampa, Florida.

It should be a great season of college football, and the anticipation for the first bowl game is already growing.
