The camera supposedly adds ten pounds. For Tony Romo, it looked like a whole lot more.

Today, a Dallas Cowboys beat writer snapped a rather unattractive picture of Tony Romo.

So, Romo looks like he’s spent the entire offseason either in line at Dunkin’ Donuts or eating Dunkin’ Donuts. However, this is simply a little illusion brought on by the camera. Romo isn’t fat.

So either the camera was just bad, or Romo lost around 25 pounds in between shots. It’s a fun picture to have a little fun with, but Romo isn’t fat as a matter of fact.

Good ‘ol Skip Bayless chimed in.

There were some joking McDonald’s references.

That might not be the best way to protect your body there, Tony.

All jokes aside, Tony Romo is fine. He better be in the best shape of his life for the Cowboy’s sake. They can’t handle another season without Tony Romo. With a fully healthy Tony Romo, the Cowboys went 2-0. Without Tony Romo at full health, the Cowboys went an abysmal 2-12.

The Dallas front office appears to have confidence that Romo’s injury is healing just fine and that he can stay healthy. They seem to be very fine with Kellen Moore, who struggled heavily, and Dak Prescott, a rookie. If Romo goes down again, the Cowboys might be through unless Moore has progressed extremely or Prescott is game ready as a rookie.

When Tony Romo is healthy, the Cowboys are somewhere in the upper 40% of NFL teams. When he isn’t, they’re a bottom four team. For their sake, they better hope Romo has recovered enough.
