Live stream info and how to watch the Women’s 200m Breaststroke final online from Day 6 of Rio 2016 on Thursday, August 11

While the excitement has been bountiful at the 2016 Rio Olympics through almost the first full week, it’d be foolish to deny what’s been the most polarizing event and competition of the Games. The Olympics swimming races to this point have been an absolute delight to watch as they’ve been packed with narrative, drama, and of course supreme skill. That’ll again be the case on Day 6 from Rio on Thursday, August 11 as more gold medals will be handed out, including medals for the Women’s 200m Breaststroke final that will be run.

Unlike many of the other races and specifically the finals that we’ve seen at the 2016 Rio Olympics swimming competition, the Women’s 200m Breaststroke final won’t feature any swimmers from the United States. Instead, it’s a wide-ranging international field. However, that shouldn’t deter even the most patriotic American fan as this should still be an absolute gem of a race when it goes down in the Olympics Aquatics Stadium on Thursday night.

Australia’s Taylor McKeown is the odds-on favorite coming into this Olympics swimming final on Thursday and rightfully so. Though there were some great times posted in qualifying, McKeown was blazing fast as she was the only swimmer to break the 2:21 mark as she posted a 2:21.69. That certainly bodes well for her chances of winning a gold medal for herself and Australia on Thursday night. However, Japan’s Rie Kaneto and Great Britain’s Molly Renshaw will try to have something to say about it.
