Live stream info and how to watch 2016 Rio Olympics women’s handball online on Friday, August 12

From what we’ve seen from the 2016 Rio Olympics women’s handball competition to date has been wonderful. The favorites and best teams in the world have shown up, but there’s been drama and underdogs as well. With the women set to take the court again on Day 7 of the Games, there’s reason to be excited. It could be another exhilarating day in Olympics women’s handball where anything seems possible.

Angola and Brazil will go to war on the handball court on Friday to start the day. Though Angola has shown plenty of promise, the results haven’t been totally favorable. Brazil has looked a bit better than that, though, and will look to prove it as they face one another. That game will be followed by Sweden and Netherlands playing in a huge game in Group B. Sweden and Netherlands are 3rd and 4th in the standings and a win in this matchup could be enormous.

In Group A, Romania vs Spain is a matchup that could break up the log-jam in the group. There are four teams tied at four points right now, including Spain, while Romania comes in 5th with three points. A win here for either team would be beneficial. The defending gold medalists in Norway will be up next, playing Montenegro. Norway hasn’t been up to their normal standard in Group A thus far, but they can turn it on at any point.

A matchup between Russia and Argentina should be the biggest mismatch of Day 7. The Russian team have the most points in Group B with six after three games. Conversely, the Argentina have zero points to show for their efforts. They’ll face off with hopes of an upset on the South American nation’s minds. Friday will then end with another bit of a mismatch. France will take their second-place position against a South Korea team sitting in 5th, which will end the day in Olympics women’s handball.
