Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Alex Rodriguez’s last game as a New York Yankee Friday night against the Tampa Bay Rays.

A legend will be potentially making his last appearance in a MLB uniform on Friday, as Alex Rodriguez is set to be released by the New York Yankees after the team’s Friday night game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Despite a complicated legacy invariably tarnished by a decade-old PED scandal, Rodriguez has had a historically great career by just about any metric, and is just one of five players in Major League history to finish his career with 3,000 hits and 500 home runs.

Many fans grew up loving A-Rod in the 1990’s and 2000’s. From 1996 to 2010, there was arguably no better player in the league than Rodriguez. Along with teammate Derek Jeter, he served as the face of baseball from roughly 1996 to 2008. He has accomplished a variety of impressive feats that puts him in rare company.

Rodriguez is one of just four players ever to notch at least 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in the same season. He’s also the all-time Yankees leader in grand slams, having passed Yankees first baseman Lou Gehrig back in 2013.

Unfortunately, A-Rod’s ties BioGenesis, along with his 2003 failed drug test, has rendered his legacy a complicated one. Not only did the scandal mar his reputation as one of the preeminent faces in the game; it may well end up jeopardizing his Hall of Fame enshrinement.

Still, if Rodriguez’s career has taught us anything, it’s that A-Rod often thrives on bing the center of attention — a player whose flair for the dramatic has yielded some of the most memorable (and, if you’re a Red Sox fan, some of the funniest) moments in recent baseball history.

Indeed, don’t be surprised in the least if this living legend goes out of Yankee Stadium with a bang.
