Here’s everything you need to know about watching the Olympics canoe and kayak sprint events on Tuesday, August 16.

The 2016 Rio Olympics canoe and kayak sprint events continue on Tuesday, as four events have their medal races. There will be plenty of big names in the water, as a few Olympians go for repeat gold medal performances. The action will kick off at 8:00 a.m. ET.

The men’s canoe single 1000m race will feature Germany’s Sebastian Brendel, who will be looking to score his second gold medal in this event in as many Olympics. Brendel had the fastest time during the preliminary round on Monday, securing his spot in the finals, and is expected to coast to another gold. The consolation final will begin at 8:00 a.m. ET, with the main final getting started at 8:08 a.m. ET.

In the second event of the day, the women will battle it out in the women’s kayak double 500m. The German duo of Tina Deitze and Franziska Weber won the gold medal in this event during the 2012 Olympics, and they are the favorite to repeat in Rio. However, they must watch out for Poland’s Beata Mikolajczyk and Karolina Naja, who will be looking to avenge their bronze finish in London.

The next event has arguably the biggest name in the sport, as New Zealand’s Lisa Carrington looks to capture gold in the women’s kayak single 200m event for the second straight Olympics. Carrington had the third-fastest time in the preliminary round, but then kicked it into gear, blowing away the competition in the semifinals. She is about as solid a lock there is on Tuesday.

The final competition will be the men’s kayak single 1000m, and this is one event that is really has no favorite. Adam van Koeverden of Canada, won a silver medal in the event during the 2012 London Olympics, was eliminated in the semifinals. Eirik Verås Larsen of Norway, who won gold in 2012, is not in the competition, leaving Germany’s Max Hoff as the only London medalist remaining. Hoff took the bronze in London, and will be looking to move up on the podium on Tuesday.
