Olympics volleyball live stream: Watch online – August 20
Here’s how to watch the women’s volleyball medal matches on Saturday at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The 2016 Rio Olympics women’s volleyball comes to an end on Saturday with the bronze and gold medal matches. Third-ranked China and No. 6 Serbia will meet for the gold medal at 6:15 p.m. Eastern. The Chinese will be playing for their third gold medal, while the Serbians reached their first ever final in just their third Olympics.
After earning just seven points to finish fourth in Pool B, China looked to be in trouble heading into the knockout stages. The Chinese then stunned hosts Brazil in the quarterfinals before taking down the Netherlands in the semifinals.
Serbia finished with 10 points in Pool B, good for third place, and swept the Chinese earlier in the tournament. The Serbians impressively swept Russia in the quarterfinals before upsetting top-ranked Team USA in the semifinals.
Team USA will be back in action in the bronze medal match against the Netherlands at noon Eastern. After winning their first six matches in Rio, the Americans fell to Serbia in four sets to deny them a chance at their first gold medal.
The Dutch have been the surprise of the tournament and were the only team to take the U.S. to five sets in the preliminaries.
