Denver Broncos fullback Andy Janovich ran for a 28-yard touchdown on his first career touch. 

It’s an incredible moment to score a touchdown in the NFL but players never forget their first career touchdown. Denver Broncos fullback Andy Janovich will remember his first career touch in the NFL in the same manner. His first career touch was a 28-yard touchdown run against the Carolina Panthers.

Some great blocking by the Broncos’ offensive line on that play, but of course, Janovich’s strong running and nice moves also helped him score. That’s a pretty incredible moment to score on your first career touch.

The Broncos have a number of rookie running backs thanks to committing a lot of their salary cap to paying their great players. They will have to get production from those guys if they want to keep on winning and it appears that the Broncos will have to copy the Seahawks’ strategy of having productive cheap players.

Janovich attended the University of Nebraska. The Broncos drafted him in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Janovich is a very big guy at 6’1″ and 238 pounds. In college, Janovich did not even score a touchdown until his senior year and he scored three touchdowns in his season year. In 25 games during his college career, Janovich only rushed the ball 45 times for 271 yards.

Denver will have an uphill battle to defend their Super Bowl title. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders have both improved this offseason, so the AFC West will be tough. It’s always tough to do well right after winning the Super Bowl. Just ask the 2013 Baltimore Ravens. They will have to do it with a rookie quarterback as well.
