DeAndre Hopkins was granted a gift of Kanye West-inspired cleats from Adidas.

After a 6-10 finish to last season, the Houston Texans will have some spots to fill on offense when they open their season against the Chicago Bears. Luckily, on the defensive side, the Texans will hopefully be have their franchise player, J.J. Watt.

Other than the performance put up by Texans WR Nate Washington (658 rec. yards, 4 TD) in 2015, DeAndre Hopkins (1,521 rec. yards, 11 TD) took the workload previously managed by Andre Johnson before he moved to the Colts.

To help Hopkins start his 2016 off correctly, Adidas and Kanye West gave the Clemson alum an early Christmas. For opening day, Hopkins will strap on some special edition footwear with some West flare.

Head coach Bill O’Brien will spearhead the Texans’ 2016 campaign after showcasing his style of coaching in season 10 of Hard Knocks. A graduate of Brown University, O’Brien spent the first-half of his coaching career within the college ranks until 2007. That year, O’Brien kicked off his NFL resume by joining the Patriots as an offensive assistant.

In terms of offseason transactions, Houston’s major signing was the addition of Lamar Miller in the backfield. Previously with Miami, Miller has a tough act to follow since the injury-prone Arian Foster pulled an Eddie Murphy and traded places.

Speaking on behalf of the 2016 NFL Draft, the highest-touted selection is former Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong, who’s placed opposite side of Hopkins.

Since the departure of Andre Johnson — and now Arian Foster — DeAndre Hopkins will continue to produce numbers so long as he and former Broncos QB Brock Osweiler get along. Most likely to be Kyle Fuller’s assignment on Sunday, Hopkins plans to ride it out in style.

In a conference to feature primarily the Broncos, Patriots and even the “Super Bowl favorite” Cleveland Browns, the Texans need a lot more than the prowess of the law firm, Watt and Watkins.
