WWE Backlash 2016 final betting odds
By Matt Couden
The latest information for WWE Backlash 2016 final betting odds for all the big matches on the card.
On Sunday night, the WWE Backlash 2016 pay-per-view arrives for professional wrestling fans to enjoy. It will be one of two pay-per-view events for the month of September. This one is exclusive to the Smackdown Live brand, meaning only superstars from the show’s roster will be featured in matches for the event.
Many fans and wrestling analysts consider Smackdown to be the superior of the two brands so far. The reason: fresh feuds, as well as the fact they’ve got two brand new championships that still need owners. Those titles are the new Women’s and Tag Team championships, both of which will be awarded Sunday night.
Meanwhile, The Miz’s Intercontinental Championship and Dean Ambrose’s World Heavyweight Championship are also being defended (Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles will challenge, respectively). At most events, fans might think that the current title holders are strong favorites to win, but that’s not always the case. There are Las Vegas betting odds for the monthly pay-per-views, and sometimes the title contenders have the better odds to win.
Here’s a look at the latest match odds for Sunday night’s Backlash event:
WWE Championship
Dean Ambrose +140 vs AJ Styles -180
WWE Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch +165 vs Nikki Bella -140 vs Natalya +475
vs Alexa Bliss +750 vs Carmella +2000 vs Naomi +2000 (field is -99999)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz -475 vs Dolph Ziggler +325
Randy Orton -210 vs. Bray Wyatt +160
WWE Tag Team Championship
Rhyno and Heath Slater -110 vs. Field wins -130
A few big takeaways present themselves based on the odds. AJ Styles is a favorite to defeat Dean Ambrose. Whether or not Styles will leave with a title is up for debate, though, as he could always win by count-out or an Ambrose disqualification.
In the two brand new championship matches, Nikki Bella is the women’s title favorite, while the team of Slater and Rhyno are small favorites to walk away as new tag team champs. Earlier odds showed that The Usos were heavy favorites to defeat The Hype Bros to earn the spot in the tag title match.
