Last week, we announced to the world that FanSided is trying something a little different with our fantasy football league this year. Rather than go with the typical and predictable format, we’re shaking things up by taking on fantasy football’s most unpredictable position. That’s right — we have a league of just fantasy football kickers.

To catch up on the rules and rosters, check out this post where you can see what a draft looks like when Stephen Gostkowski is the clear No. 1 overall pick.

More from Fantasy Football

While we have plenty of traditional fantasy football coverage throughout the week (which you can find in the box to the right), FootSided is the only league I know of where just about every single kick and every single score matters. It’s extremely easy to track since each player just has two starters, so you can keep up with who’s winning and losing extremely easily.

The negative points for missing shorter field goals and extra points were also entertaining since it put the pressure on the kickers — just like real NFL games. If you want to know what missed kicks can ultimately do to your team, just ask any fans of the Arizona Cardinals or Carolina Panthers who both had kicks to win but failed to convert.

While there were some memorable misses, there was also plenty of kickers converting this weekend, so let’s take a quick look at the scoreboard from Week 1 to see which of our owners came out on the winning side. (Spoiler Alert: My fantasy football kickers made a total of zero field goals so the week was far from my best effort)
