The Los Angeles Rams are terrible, but ownership appears to be fine with it.
At what point do the Rams think about pulling the plug on what has become the Jeff Fisher saga? Many were clamoring that Fisher should have been fired last season, when the Rams missed the playoffs for the fourth straight year under his watch.
Then, as if that crapfest wasn’t enough for almost half the decade, Fisher went and doubled down alongside incompetent general manager Les Snead. the Rams traded approximately 64 draft picks to get the first-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft away from the Tennessee Titans this spring.
Incredibly, the Rams appear to have botched that pick based off early returns. While Jared Goff is so bad he can’t get the starting job over Case Keenum, Carson Wentz just won his pro debut with 278 passing yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. Wentz was drafted a spot behind Goff.
Finally, it all came to a glorious head on Monday Night Football against the appalling San Francisco 49ers. Los Angeles was supposed to win in its return to the City of Angels, only to get blown out 28-0 by the immortal Blaine Gabbert. Read that sentence again. Meanwhile, Keenum showed how bad Goff must be, throwing a pair of interceptions and completing less than 50 percent of his throws against a terrible team.

Somehow, there are actual rumors that Fisher is about to get a contract extension. Welcome back to the NFL, Los Angeles. Have fun watching this train slam into a brick wall.
