Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh had no time for jokes when talking about the fake depth chart Colorado put out to mock the Wolverines.

This weekend, the Colorado Buffaloes will leave the friendly home feeling of the Rocky Mountains and head to the midwest for a meeting with the Michigan Wolverines. If CU wanted to know who Michigan is going to put in their starting lineup, they weren’t going to get any help from this week’s hosts.

You see, Michigan and head coach Jim Harbaugh doesn’t put out a depth chart each week to let opponents known who are likely going to be their starters.

In that spirit, Colorado had a little fun and decide to mock that with a  completely fake depth chart of their own — with some very interesting names on it:

The move was met with resounding laughs from all camps, including Michigan football’s Twitter account as they launched into a back and forth with Colorado’s social media page.

One person who didn’t find any humor at all in the move? Harbaugh, who was about as fun as day old scrambled eggs during a radio interview about the subject:

"“I saw the depth chart…I was trying to imagine how many people sat around and how many hours they worked on that. We’ve just found…modern technology seems to have made the depth chart an out-dated task by about 20 years.”“We just felt like modern technology was the most accurate way of knowing what the opponent’s depth chart is by looking at the previous week’s film. And not relying on another PR director’s assessment of what the depth chart is.”"

Wow, coach … way to take all the fun out of it! For someone who seems ready to set fire to the whole SEC and their leader, Alabama head coach Nick Saban, Harbaugh sure as hell sounded like Nicky with that quote.
