Jabrill Peppers is not only fast. He’s a big kid. So, when a Colorado trainer tried to stop him from hitting an injured player on the sideline, it didn’t go well.

After Colorado took a 28-24 lead in the third quarter against Michigan on Saturday, Jabrill Peppers tried to get the Wolverines back ahead with a big play.

Peppers took the kickoff after a long touchdown toss from Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau (more on him in a second) and was running down the Buffalo sideline until he was pushed out.

Earlier in the game, Liufau was taken down on a scramble and injured his foot. The trainers were looking at Liufau’s foot on the sideline during Peppers’ return and had to brace for impact when Peppers was pushed out.

Unfortunately for one trainer, he felt the brunt of the hit and got knocked down.

At least he tried to protect Liufau’s foot, right?

Michigan scored two plays after Peppers’ 55-yard kickoff return to retake a 31-28 lead in what’s been one of the best games of the afternoon on Saturday. Colorado’s been able to crack the tough Michigan defense, but the Wolverines aren’t going away at home.

The Buffs actually led this one at one point, 21-7, but then a 17-point second quarter got Peppers and Michigan a lead at the break. The two teams exchanged scores in the third quarter and Michigan clings to a three-point lead.

We’ve already seen a top-5 team fall in Florida State after getting absolutely smacked by Louisville on the road, and it’s not crazy to think Michigan could be in some serious trouble with the Buffaloes hanging around at The Big House.

Crazy things have happened there before with these two schools, so anything can happen.
