The latest Cowboys at Redskins Week 2 inactive players listed ahead of their 2016 NFL matchup on Sunday.
An NFC East matchup featuring the Cowboys at Redskins takes place on the Week 2 portion of the 2016 NFL schedule. Dallas is going into their second-straight game without Tony Romo. The star quarterback suffered a devastating back injury during the preseason that has him sidelined until Week 9. He may return sooner, which would be good news for the team. They’re also without veteran running back Darren McFadden who hurt his elbow during the summer.
However, Dallas is putting their hopes of a good season on the shoulders of two offensive rookies. Quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott are the latest stars to don the silver, white and blue uniforms. Both are looking to have great starts to their careers as they’ve been thrust into the spotlight. They’ll hope to bounce back from a disappointing one-point home loss against New York in Week 1.
The Redskins have enjoyed a healthy start to their season, despite suffering a loss at home to the Steelers. Kirk Cousins was well protected and wasn’t sacked once by Pittsburgh. In addition, DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed both looked healthy. This past week, running back Matt Jones, wide receiver Joshua Doctson and safety David Bruton all fully participated in practice.
Below is a look at all of the latest inactive players listed for each team ahead of the game.
