Washington Wizards star guard John Wall showed up to Sunday’s Redskins game in a Dallas Cowboys jersey.

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is one of the Nation’s Capital’s brightest stars, but what he did on Sunday may get him booed at the Verizon Center when the NBA season kicks off.

Prior to the Washington Redskins home game against the much hated Dallas Cowboys, Wall was spotted rocking an Emmitt Smith Cowboy jersey by Dallas Morning News beat writer Jon Machota. If you don’t believe us, he has the picture to prove it:

Wall has always been a diehard fan of “America’s Team,” but to wear a Cowboy jersey, especially the jersey of a player who Redskin fans still have nightmares about, to FedEx field is pretty much asking for trouble.

Of course, the Twitter universe had to react:

It’s safe to say that Redskin fans are not too pleased with Wall rocking a Cowboy jersey in enemy territory, but if he’s able to get the Wizards back to the playoffs next season, maybe this transgression will be forgiven by Redskin fans.

Maybe.
