Tennessee head coach Butch Jones broke down in tears after the Volunteers’ Hail Mary win over Georgia on Saturday.

For the first time in the 2016 college football season, the Tennessee Volunteers played in a hostile environment on the road. As the Volunteers faced off against the Georgia Bulldogs, it was expected that the game would be a barn-burner. To call the game a barn-burner is an understatement as the teams went back-and-forth throughout the game. With the history of both schools playing classic games, this season’s may top them all.

Having said that, there is a high possibility that there are thousands of fans in Athens, Georgia sporting the Michael Jordan crying face. The Bulldogs were leading the Tennessee Volunteers 31-28 with three seconds to go. While it appeared that it was a sure victory for the Bulldogs, the impossible occurred.

As quarterback Joshua Dobbs calmly surveyed Georgia’s defense he heaved a 43-yard bomb to Jauan Jennings. Jennings soared over a crowd of defenders and hauled in the pass.

To no surprise, there was pandemonium on the field. Out of the fracas going on in Sanford Stadium, the emotional reaction from Butch Jones stole the show. Of course, the catch will go down as one of the best in recent memory, but it was amazing to witness the sheer display of emotion from Coach Jones.

While Jones kneeled in awe, the tears trickled down his face and it was on display how much the game meant for the university and himself. Watching coach Jones react in such manner is the sole reason why sports is known as the greatest reality show.
