Here’s how to watch Saturday’s Big Ten matchup between the Purdue Boilermakers and Maryland Terrapins online.

The Maryland Terrapins will hope to continue their perfect start to the season when they host the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday afternoon in the Big Ten opener for both teams.

First-year head coach D.J. Durkin has the Terrapins sitting at 3-0 to match the program’s win total from a season ago while also receiving a few votes in the AP Poll. Maryland had no trouble with Howard or Florida International before being tested on the road against Central Florida last Saturday in an eventual 30-24 double overtime win.

Durkin built his reputation by leading stout defenses at Florida and Michigan, and the Terrapins are following suit by allowing just 12.8 points per game so far. Senior quarterback Perry Hills looks much improved from a year ago, but Maryland’s best offensive player has been freshman Lorenzo Harrison, who has 32 carries for 208 yards and three touchdowns to begin his career.

Purdue also had a successful non-conference slate, going 2-1 with a loss to Cincinnati. While the wins were over Eastern Kentucky and Nevada, the Boilermakers will take anything after winning six total games in the first three years of Darrell Hazell’s tenure.

Sophomore running back Markell Jones has 61 carries for 316 yards this season and will again be the key man for the Boilermakers’ offense on Saturday. Purdue needs to take care of the ball much more effectively to have a chance against Durkin’s defense, as it recorded a combined nine turnovers against Cincinnati and Nevada.

With a win, Maryland would own its best start since 2013 and something to build on heading into a key road game against Penn State. This will be one of the few Big Ten contests where Purdue won’t be totally overwhelmed talent-wise, but its offense will need to execute much better to pull off the upset.
