LeBron James has made a request, but it has nothing to do with making a move for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James has been one of the top players in the NBA for over a decade. Whether it was with the Miami Heat or Cleveland Cavaliers, he always had a pull with the respective organization’s front office. This usually involved a player transaction. James recently asked for Cavs executives to re-sign JR Smith.

Well, King James has made another request. However, this wasn’t one to Cleveland, but to the NBA.

The NBA has an app called “GameTime” that shows box scores, standings and highlights from games throughout the year. With the 2016-17 season set to kick off later in October, the NBA recently updated its app. James apparently took issue with this, noting that the box score portion should be fixed in this tweet below:

Hey, at least he asked politely.

We’ll see if the NBA’s tech team behind the GameTime app chooses to honor LeBron’s request. He is one of the greatest players of all time, so maybe they’ll take this into account. The GameTime app is usually simple to operate, but maybe it could use a bit of fine-tuning.

This won’t be James’ top priority for long, though, with the season approaching. He and the Cavs will be defending their 2015-16 NBA championship. They defeated the Golden State Warriors, 4-3, coming back from a 3-1 deficit. Cleveland should remain the top team in the Eastern Conference for this season with the Toronto Raptors potentially behind them.

We may even be in store for Cavaliers vs. Warriors III, especially with the latter team getting Kevin Durant in the offseason.

Should the NBA honor LeBron James’ request for the Gametime app? Or is the issue not big enough to warrant a change?
