Case Keenum put the Los Angeles Rams in a hole against the Buffalo Bills with an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Case Keenum made a potentially game-ending blunder in the third quarter. He threw an interception to Buffalo Bills cornerback Nickell Robey. Robey took it 41 yards to the house for a go-ahead touchdown. As of the start of the fourth quarter, the Bills hold a 23-16 lead over the Rams. Here is a video of Keenum making this costly mistake at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Keenum was throwing the ball efficiently for the Rams. He has completed the majority of his passes while guiding the Rams to a few scoring drives. Keenum has only thrown five incomplete passes throughout the day. However, Keenum proved again that he has limitations that prevent him from being a consistently reliable starting quarterback.

Ironically, Robey made this game-changing play for the Bills at his old college stadium. The cornerback used to play for the USC Trojans. He was subsequently signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent. The majority of the fans in attendance are presumably Rams fans. However, there are likely many USC fans who are happy to see their old cornerback achieving relative success in the NFL.

The Rams are still looking to prove that they are not pretenders and legitimate playoff contenders. A loss to a 1-3 Bills team would certainly not help matters for this young team though. Luckily, the Rams still have plenty of time left to tie the game. They entered this week in first place in the NFC West. The Rams will need all the wins they can get with the Seattle Seahawks on fire though.
