England face Slovenia at Stozice Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Here’s all the information you need to know.

England travel to Slovenia for Gareth Southgate’s second match as caretaker manager. It will be a welcome relief for many of the players, Southgate himself and the FA to have some games to talk about rather than the off-field issues that have shrouded the team in controversy.

Sam Allardyce was sacked after only 67 days in the job. Alan Shearer, former striker and England legend, has described the team as a ‘laughing stock’, a thought mirrored by left back Danny Rose. The FA, after their appointment and subsequent sacking, are now considered a shambles by many in the media and the fanbase, and the team, after yet another underwhelming international tournament in the summer where the apparent footballing giants were humbled by minnows Iceland and their amazing chant.

Slovenia away is one of the toughest matches that the Three Lions will have to overcome in what is otherwise a rather easy group. They will be disappointed with anything less than three points, but against a team boasting the quality of Josip Ilicic and Kevin Kampl, they will not be found easily.
