Chicago Cubs slugger Kris Bryant launched a game-tying home run in the ninth inning against the San Francisco Giants on Monday night.

The Chicago Cubs wouldn’t go away when they faced a little adversity in Game 3 of the NLDS. After the San Francisco Giants took the lead in the eighth inning on Monday night, it looked like that would be it for the Cubs. Then in true October fashion, the first runner got on and potential MVP-winner Kris Bryant came to the plate.

With no regard for human life, Bryant got every bit of the baseball and he launched it over to left field wall, which it bounced off of and into the bleachers. The Giants bullpen had blown another save and the Cubs had new life again as they went for the save.

Bryant is one of the favorites to win the NL MVP award and it’s hits like this that make him a strong candidate. He didn’t even sweat at the play and put a beautiful swing on the ball with full extension through the hips.

The Cubs are trying to make history this year and it is these types of moments they need. Just when some thought it was over, Bryant tied everything up with one stroke of the bat.
