Daily News
The Los Angeles Kings will be without star goaltender Jonathan Quick for the next few weeks. He has a lower body injury and has been put on the IR. Peter Budaj and Jeff Zatkoff will replace Quick as the Kings try to overcome a significant loss. With Marian Gaborik and Quick both out, the Kings aren’t having an ideal start to their season.
No team has been bitten harder by the injury bug so far than the Buffalo Sabres. Not only is star center Jack Eichel out long-term, forward Evander Kane might be too. Against the Montreal Canadiens, he hit the boards very hard and very fast. Kane was taken to the hospital for examination, which isn’t a good sign. His injury looks eerily similar to Connor McDavid’s.
