Lawrence Timmons best encapsulates how the Pittsburgh Steelers should feel after trailing the Miami Dolphins at halftime by getting sick in the end zone.

Entering Week 6, the AFC East’s Miami Dolphins were arguably the worst team in football. They were 1-4 with their only victory coming over the winless Cleveland Browns. The Pittsburgh Steelers thought they could come into Hard Rock Stadium in Week 6 and get an easy road victory. They thought wrong.

Pittsburgh trailed Miami 16-8 at halftime. Perhaps Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons best encompasses how the Steelers should feel about their first half performance: sick to their stomaches.

It’s not like the Steelers have a stranglehold on the AFC North. The Baltimore Ravens are 3-2 on the season. Even the Cincinnati Bengals are still in the mix at 2-3 entering Week 6. Pittsburgh is the most talented team in this division, but the Steelers do have their moments of inconsistency.

The Steelers have a strong offense headlined by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but he had to leave the game with a leg injury. Pittsburgh can run the ball with Le’Veon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, and apparently Darius Heyward-Bey.

However, the Steelers have not had the prowess on the defensive side of the ball for years. Miami has a real NFL defense and one of the best pass rushes in football. The Dolphins’ issues have been with a quarterback that doesn’t know what he’s doing under center in Ryan Tannehill.

Will the Steelers bounce back and play better ball in the second half? Can Miami continue to beat Pittsburgh while they are down? This game is proof that anything and everything can happen on any given Sunday in the National Football League.
