The LA Dodgers jumped to a 2-1 lead over the Chicago Cubs in the 2016 National League Championship Series with their 6-0 shutout win in Game 4. The Dodgers came out fighting for the win and the Cubs never answered the challenge.
Rich Hill pitched a gem tonight, keeping the Cubs scoreless through his six innings of work. Hill allowed only two hits with six strikeouts in the shutout win. Jake Arrieta struggled, allowing six hits and four earned runs with five punch outs in five innings. Hill was absolutely dominant on the mound tonight, and the Dodgers relievers did a fantastic job protecting his work to keep the shut out going.
The Dodgers got on the board first with a Corey Seager line drive to right field that scored Andrew Toles. They followed that it in the 4th inning with a two-run homer from Yasmani Grandal, putting LA up 3-0. Not to be outdone, Justin Turner hit a solo home run in the 6th inning to bring the score to 4-0 Dodgers.
Los Angeles picked up two more runs in the 8th inning when Joc Pederson doubled and drove in Yasiel Puig, followed by a Yasmani Grandal ground out that scored Joc Pederson. That sealed the deal for the Dodgers, taking them to a 6-0 lead and a shut out win over the Cubs.

The Cubs offense is really struggling in the postseason, going from an average of five runs per game in the regular season to just 3.6 in the postseason with a .185 average. Clearly the Cubs need to make some changes in order to stay competitive in this best-of-seven series.
The National League Championship Series continues with Game 4 on Wednesday at 7:30pm ET on FS1. Julio Urias takes the mound for the Dodgers and John Lackey has the start for the Cubs.
