66. When it comes to the point guard position, the Phoenix Suns have even more of a surplus than the Lakers. Brandon Knight is under contract with the team through 2019-20 and Eric Bledsoe will be in Phoenix — barring any trades — through the 2018-19 season. Washington’s Markelle Fultz, though, would be too difficult to pass up were he to get past the Lakers at number one.
Fultz is a 6-foot-5 guard with a 6-foot-10 wingspan. He should have plenty of size to play the point guard spot in the NBA and should even be able to spend some time off the ball if Phoenix decides to continue to play with two point guards. He has an excellent feel for the game both when it comes to getting into the paint with the ball in his hands and when looking to find open teammates for high percentage shots.

At 18-years old with a May birthday, Fultz is one of the youngest prospects in the draft. Youth is always prized in these situations as it usually means there is plenty of room for the player to grow into his potential. Fultz will have an opportunity to develop that potential with the Huskies this season in Lorenzo Romar’s up-tempo offense, a system that helped breed one of the Suns’ 2016 draft picks, Marquese Chriss.
.
