Here’s a look at what college football fans can expect during Week 9 of the 2016 season, including predictions for the Top 25 teams.

As we enter the final weekend of the month of October, the college football world still looks like it’s going to be in for a wild ride over the last part of the regular season. It continues this week with three games that will have a major say in both conference titles and the playoff race.

From Salt Lake City to Madison and East Lansing to Tallahassee, ranked battles and rivalry showdowns mean changes could be coming as soon as Sunday to the picture for the postseason – further giving proof that college football is the best sport out there.

Here’s a look ahead at Week 9 of the 2016 college football season.

Game of the Week – No. 3 Clemson at No. 12 Florida State

For the last half decade, these have been the two teams that have dominated the ACC – and it looks like the Tigers are on the path to keeping that streak going this season if they can get past the Seminoles on Saturday.

Clemson enters the weekend undefeated and on course for a return trip to the CFB Playoff, while the Seminoles already have two losses and are trying to avoid the wheels falling off even more from a season that had such high hopes.

That being said, to think that the Tigers are going to come into Tallahassee and win for the first time since 2006 with ease would be a huge mistake. Dalvin Cook seems to have finally come alive in the last four games and the defense has played like they actually give a darn about finishing the year with at least 10 wins.

On the flip side, Clemson still has Deshaun Watson at quarterback, Wayne Gallman healthy to play against the ‘Noles and a defense that has gotten better as the season goes on. Don’t be surprised if we see a repeat of the last time they met in Tallahassee – an overtime thriller that was back and forth the whole time.
