Team work makes the dream work, as Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross has the ball pop off his glove and into first baseman Anthony Rizzo’s for the 2-3 putout.

The Chicago Cubs are one loss away from losing the 2016 World Series. They trailed the Cleveland Indians, 3-1 entering Game 5 at Wrigley Field on Sunday, October 30th. To do the 2015-16 Cleveland Cavaliers’ thing over overcome a 3-1 finals deficit, the Cubs are going to need a few lays go their way.

In the top of the second, Chicago might have gotten such a play. Indians left fielder Carlos Santana pops up a fly ball in foul territory near the on deck circle by the first base dugout. Cubs ageless catcher David Ross goes to come down with the grab, but bobbles the baseball. Fortunately for Ross, first baseman Anthony Rizzo was right behind him to get the second out in the top of the second.

It was a really cool play for just a moment at Wrigley Field. Cubs starting pitcher in southpaw Jon Lester would then proceed to give up a solo shot to Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez. Ramirez’s touch ’em all would give the Indians and early 1-0 lead on the Cubs.

The Indians have a terrific shot at winning their first World Series title since the 1948 MLB season. Cleveland has lost two World Series in the last 21 years. The Indians fell to the Atlanta Braves in six games in 1995. Cleveland would get back to the Fall Classic in 1997, only to lose to the then Florida Marlins in seven games. Will the Indians close out the Cubs tonight or will there be more baseball left to be played this MLB Postseason?
