WWE Hell in a Cell 2016: Full match results
Live tracking the WWE Hell in a Cell match results for the pay-per-view in Boston
WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 is being billed as a historic event leading up to the Sunday pay-per-view from TD Garden in Boston, MA. It may well be that, but not for the reasons that WWE is saying. The company is pushing hard about the historic first women’s match inside the Cell. However, that seems far too cheap. Instead, WWE Hell in a Cell could be historic because of how high-quality the matches from top-to-bottom could be.
The brand-specific PPVs have been hit-or-miss for both WWE RAW and SmackDown Live to this point and unavoidably so. However, the recent efforts have been some of the best and you have to imagine the last before November’s Survivor Series show will be another great effort.
As stated, one of the main events will feature Sasha Banks and Charlotte battling inside Hell in a Cell for the Women’s Championship. Yes, this is the first ever women’s match in the structure; but it’s also a feud with enough bad blood to deserve this kind of end.
Also in the Cell on Sunday night will be Kevin Owens defending the Universal title against Seth Rollins. These two can put on a classic at any time. So putting them inside of HIAC should be quite a spectacle. Then the third match inside the structure on the card is Roman Reigns and Rusev battling again for the United States Championship.
That’s not all that Boston has in store at the PPV. TJ Perkins will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against a hungry Brian Kendrick, while New Day, Bayley, Enzo and Big Cass, and The Club will also be in action, in addition to others.
Don’t miss a second or an ounce of the action. We’ll be live-tracking the WWE Hell in a Cell match results below once the show begins (Kickoff at 7 p.m. ET, main show at 8 p.m. ET). Moreover, the listed matches will be linked to highlights from the PPV.
