At this point there aren’t any guests at the Big Shaker Mansion who don’t believe that something horrible is happening. In Chapter 8 of American Horror Story Roanoke, we continue to collect notches on the death count belt while we also get closer to see who manages to survive this ordeal.

After last week, Matt and Agnes are dead, along with Sydney and the production crew. Sydney’s death is important because he’s the link to the outside world. Without him, no one is monitoring the cameras and calling for help. There is no help.

The closest thing to help comes from the “search party” consisting of Audrey, Mone and Lee. However, the real life, cannabis loving Polk Family has captured the trio of women, and they’re not going to let them go any time soon. The land around the mansion is as haunted as the house itself, so running five miles to the next town is no use because the forest won’t allow anyone to escape.

Bottom line: Help is not coming. Help is not on the way.

Dominic Banks and Shelby are stuck in the house. Even though Shelby is injured, and given that she just bludgeoned Matt to death with a crowbar, Dominic’s best chance at survival is to stick with Shelby as long as he can. The house is surrounded by the Butcher and her merrily murderous minions, and in the Chapter 8 preview we see Piggy Man lurking in the shadows around the house.

Things are not looking good at the Big Shaker Mansion.
