James Conner continued his amazing comeback season on Saturday by putting himself in the record books

If there has been one story in all of college football this season that has captured the hearts of everyone, it’s most certainly the journey of Pittsburgh Panthers running back James Conner. Last year, Conner was diagnosed with cancer, meaning that his football career was definitely in jeopardy. However, we quickly came to find out that this is one of the toughest and most resilient young men that you will find, and he made his way back onto the football field.

Well, on Saturday, he made his way into the record books as well.

In the Panthers’ drubbing of the Duke Blue Devils at home, this one-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter helped him set the records for career ACC touchdowns as well as total scores.

Really, what more can you say about Conner? Again, there was a time not too long ago where we all –even himself, probably– wondered whether or not he would ever step foot onto a football field again in pads. And now here he is in the 2016 season, making sure that no one in college football ever forgets his name.

Just last weekend, Conner helped lead the Panthers in one of the biggest upsets of the season as they took down the Clemson Tigers on the road in Death Valley. Now here he is this week making his mark in the record books.

This comeback journey of Conner’s is one that will never, ever be forgotten in the history of sports, not just college football.
