Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners wide receiver Josh Stewart has a touchdown catch so improbable that the announcers called the catch incomplete.

Though the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners trail the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies, 16-7 at halftime in their Week 12 game at Kyle Field on Saturday, Roadrunners wide receiver Josh Stewart had one of the most improbable touchdown grabs of the season.

Stewart was able to catch the ball with one hand despite being face-guarded in the end zone. He got his foot down for the Roadrunners touchdown. It was such a ridiculous play that the game’s announcers believed that it was certainly an incomplete pass.

Texas A&M has stumbled in recent weeks since losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Aggies have three SEC losses on the season: at Alabama, home versus the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and home versus the Ole Miss Rebels.

In short, the Aggies aren’t playing for a trip to the College Football Playoff or a New Year’s Six bowl bid for that matter. Texas A&M also has to play without graduate transfer quarterback Trevor Knight the rest of the way. Knight busted his shoulder on a goal-line dive against Mississippi State. Jake Hubenak is the Aggies’ signal caller the rest of the way.

The Roadrunners aren’t a bad mid-major team. They came into Kyle Field with a 5-5 record. While they aren’t expected to beat the Aggies in College Station on Saturday, maybe they can use Stewart’s ridiculous touchdown grab as a source of inspiration for next week’s game against the Charlotte 49ers.

Should Texas-San Antonio beat the 49ers, the Roadrunners will get their sixth win of the season and be bowl eligible in 2016. The Roadrunners have a young football program, but this team has played hard since inception. Maybe they can shock the Aggies in the second half? They are only down nine.
