Who are the participants in the AAC Championship Game on December 3rd?

It was a struggle for the eventual Peach Bowl winners, but No. 17 Houston fought off a tough Temple bunch to win the first AAC Championship Game last season.

This time around, Temple returns to the American Athletic Conference’s premier game, but they’ll have a new opponent this season.

Before their showdown with the Army Black Knights in their annual meeting, the Navy Midshipmen will face the Temple Owls in the 2016 AAC Championship Game on Dec. 3.

For Temple, it was the same ol’, same ol’ this season compared to last season. The Owls will enter the title game on a six-game win streak and an 8-3 mark, while playing some rough-and-tough football along the way with wins in seven of their eight conference games this season.

For Navy, it was a bit more eventful.

The Midshipmen picked up one of the wins of the season for any team in their exciting upset of unbeaten Houston earlier in the year, and along with another win over Notre Dame in their annual game, Navy looks better than ever entering their final two games of the season.

Just like last season, the Owls will have their work cut out for them in another AAC title game appearance. Houston was as hot as anyone in the country before they defeating Temple last season, and the same could go for the Naval Academy this season.

With a win, Navy could not only win 10 games, they could enter the Army-Navy Game on Dec. 10 with a chance to win 11 games for the second straight season entering their bowl game.
