Jim Harbaugh wasn’t happy that his Michigan Wolverines lost to the rival Ohio State Buckeyes in The Game. He took out his frustrations by torching the refs.

The No. 3 Michigan Wolverines lost in heartbreaking fashion to the arch rival No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes in double overtime, 30-27. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was obviously frustrated and didn’t think this game was well officiated.

Harbaugh’s alma mater has probably lost its opportunity to play in the 2017 College Football Playoff after losing on the road to arch rival Ohio State. All Harbaugh wanted to talk about after the 2016 installment of The Game was the officiating. USA TODAY Sports’ Nicole Auerbach was there to document the entire post-game press conference.

Harbaugh tends to be a little difficult in press conferences after losses. Did he need an extra five minutes or something? Apparently, the 15-minute cooling down period wasn’t enough time for Harbaugh to get over this gut-punch of a loss.

He can argue about the officials all he wants, but it’s not like the third-best Big Ten team is going to get in to the 2017 College Football Playoff anyway. Michigan still has probably a meaningful holiday season bowl on tap this football season.

This was only Harbaugh’s second season back in Ann Arbor. He’s doing a great job coaching most of Brady Hoke’s players. He’ll have until 2017 to play in the fourth annual College Football Playoff. Ohio State still needs the Penn State Nittany Lions to lose to the Michigan State Spartans to win the Big Ten East.
