Hue Jackson’s young squad fell behind 20-6 early in the fourth quarter against the hot New York Giants. The Browns would make things interesting when quarterback Josh McCown connected with rookie wideout Corey Coleman from 21 yards out to keep Cleveland within shouting distance. But this team was once again its own worst enemy as McCown lost a pair of fumbles (one returned for a touchdown by Jason Pierre-Paul). It was part of three turnovers for this club, which has now given up the ball 20 times in a dozen contests. The Browns’ veteran quarterback did throw for 322 yards and a score. But he was also sacked seven times as this club remained winless in 2016.
Next Week: It’s the final time we will see teams take time off during this regular season. Not that the Browns couldn’t have used a vacation earlier in the year. When they come back to the field in Week 14, Cleveland will renew acquaintances with their cross state rivals from Cincinnati.

Playoff hopes: These days, the Browns are just hoping to hold off the San Francisco 49ers for the top pick in the 2017 NFL draft. All kidding aside, Jackson’s team has played hard this season but with little to show for it except pride. And that will only take you so far. Cleveland’s overall losing streak has now reached 15 consecutive games with no relief in sight.
. 0-12. Previous: . Cleveland Browns. 32. team. 53
