Here’s how you can watch Thursday night’s Cincinnati vs Iowa State game from Ames online.

Iowa State raced out to a 5-0 start to the season and looked like a top-10 team, but the Cyclones are coming off their first defeat against No. 11 Gonzaga. Even in the post-Fred Hoiberg era, the Cyclones look like contenders for the national title.

Looking to put that first loss behind them, the Cyclones have a big home game approaching on Thursday against a tough opponent from the AAC. The next game on the schedule might be the toughest they’ll have in the month of December until conference play starts.

Monte Morris is a sure Big 12 Player of the Year candidate and he’s been playing out of his mind thus far. He leads the team with 16.0 points and 6.5 assists per game. He also averages 5.2 rebounds and shoots 42 percent from long range. Don’t sleep on Deonte Burton, either.

Cincinnati is also 5-1 on the season, but a loss to Rhode Island a couple of weeks ago has prevented the Bearcats from reaching the AP Top 25. This team hasn’t beaten anyone of note just yet, but taking down Iowa State on the road would be huge.

The Cyclones present a tougher test than even Rhode Island did just because of size and depth. Cincinnati also has capable post players, but the major issue has been perimeter shooting. The Bearcats are shooting just 31 percent from downtown.

Jacob Evans and Kyle Washington are the leading scorers, averaging 17.8 and 16.8 points per game, respectively. Evans is shooting over 46 percent from three-point range while Washington is averaging 9.3 rebounds per contest.
