Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Sefo Liufau left the Pac-12 Championship Game against the Washington Huskies with a leg injury.

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Sefo Liufau is the life of the team. He has broken record after record for the Buffaloes and has landed them in the Pac-12 Championship Game against the Washington Huskies.

The game didn’t start like the Buffaloes would have liked however. Liufau had a huge run down the field for Colorado, but he would leave shortly after with a leg injury. It’s the same leg that he injured during the season against the Michigan Wolverines.

Steven Montez would then briefly replace Liufau on the sidelines. It’s not quite clear what happened but he appeared to be in pain. Liufau would then be shown on the sideline being checked out and putting his shoe back on, which should be seen as a good sign.

With the Huskies starting the game off by going down the field and getting a touchdown the Buffaloes couldn’t afford to be without their quarterback. He makes the team go each week and keeps them in position to win with his big plays.

If he’s able to return the Buffaloes will have their chances against the Huskies. If he is not able to get back in, it could be a long night for Colorado. It’s a shame to see injuries on a big stage occur like this.
