Washington safety Taylor Rapp picked off a returning Sefo Liufau and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown.

Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau did not quite have the return he was hoping for in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night. After leaving in the first half with a leg injury against the Washington Huskies, Liufau threw a pick-six to Washington safety Taylor Rapp.

As the ball deflected in the air, the defensive back went up to get the football and then weaved his way through defenders to take it back the distance. It was a bit of an overthrow and that led to the ball being left up for grabs.

For Colorado, it was as bad of a start as they could hope for. Coming out of the half only down seven, they were hoping they could tie things up or hopefully pull within four.

Instead, Liufau gave Washington seven. If things couldn’t even get worse for the Buffaloes. Liufau would come back and throw another interception right to Rapp. It was his second interception in two drives and the Huskies were rolling.

Life felt as if it left the Buffaloes and Liufau clearly wasn’t right on the field. What was looking like a great Pac-12 Championship Game suddenly felt like it was trending toward a blowout by the Huskies over the Buffaloes.
