Atlanta is set to host what should be one of the most thrilling college football games of the year when the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide take on the No. 4 Washington Huskies in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on New Year’s Eve at the Georgia Dome.

This is the first time the Peach Bowl has hosted a College Football Playoff matchup, with the next rotation in scheduled for 2019. Houston beat Florida State 38-24 in last year’s Peach Bowl in one of the biggest upsets of the 2015 bowl season.Alabama rolled through the regular season as the only undefeated Power Five team and is the undisputed national title favorite. The Crimson Tide is allowing just 11.8 points per game to lead the nation in scoring defense, while freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts has been terrific to lead the offense.

Quarterback Jake Browning and the Huskies will try to solve the Alabama front seven after winning the Pac-12 at 12-1. Browning tossed 42 touchdown passes this season, while the Huskies’ terrific secondary has helped Washington rank in the top 10 in scoring defense.
