DeSean Jackson torched the Eagles defense on a touchdown catch that reminded us why he’s such a dangerous deep threat.

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson is a bit of a hit-and-miss option. Fantasy owners have long had this struggle with him, but the allure to having him both on your fantasy team and your actual roster is his ability to make the hits truly special.

Jackson showed off an example of that on Sunday, when he roasted the Eagles defense in a way that has become somewhat of a signature for him. The touchdown not only gave Washington the lead over Philadelphia, but provided Jackson with an opportunity to showboat his way into the end zone in the most subtle of ways.

Everything about this play is vintage DJax. From the way he loses defenders in the secondary to turning on the boosters before coasting his way into the end zone, this is why it’s so had to resist the allure of Jackson.

Anyone watching this should take a moment to really appreciate the way Jackson coasted into the end zone. That’s how fast this guy is and how badly he torched the Eagles secondary. He was covered when the ball was in the air, yet in a matter of seconds he was free and clear to score a touchdown at his own pace.

That’s the definition of playing to the beat of your own drum. Love him or hate him, Jackson is a wonder to behold in the NFL, and this is a reminder of just how dynamic he can be.
