Miami Dolphins assistant coach Darren Rizzi has a serious problem with the comments made by Arizona’s Bruce Arians, so he dropped the perfect troll job.

If you missed Sunday’s game between Miami and Arizona, you missed quite the action for a game featuring teams that were 5-6-1 and 7-5 entering the game. The Dolphins won on a last second field goal 26-23 while losing their starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, likely for the rest of the year with a sprained ACL and MCL injury.

The game was also played at times under a monsoon that made some South Florida natives think they were going through the second edition of Hurricane Andrew. The wet conditions played a role in some sloppy play, including multiple missed kicks by Arizona’s Chandler Catanzaro, who has had his own issues this season.

Since the loss, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has made comments claiming Miami was yelling a fake snap count on an extra point in the fourth quarter that the Dolphins blocked and returned for a conversion to give them an eight point lead.

While Dolphins head coach Adam Gase has been quiet on the issue, assistant coach and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi has gone the other route and expressed his displeasure with Arians’ comments:

"“I can tell you that we didn’t do anything illegal so I’m kind of a little bit taken back by it, and quite frankly a little bit offended by it,” according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “It’s really accusing us of cheating, really to be honest with you so I was a little bit offended by it.”"

Rizzi then decide to throw some shade at both the Cardinals’ shaky kicking game and the idea that the Dolphins were controlling the weather:

"“Now to be honest with you, I don’t know which one of the three he was talking about because they missed three.”"

"“Other than me making it rain when they had the ball, we didn’t do anything,”"

Shots fired, ladies and gentlemen! The rivalry between teams in the two retirement capitals of the United States is on! It’s a shame the teams won’t have a chance to settle this battle until the 2020 season … since neither one is going to the Super Bowl for a while.
