Twitter roasts the Seattle Seahawks’ lime green Color Rush uniforms
By David Rouben
The Seattle Seahawks unveiled their lime green Color Rush uniforms on Thursday Night Football, and everyone on Twitter agreed that it was a poopfest.
The Seattle Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFC, but they’re still deeply flawed. Russell Wilson hasn’t been playing up to his usual standards, and a lot of that has to do with him being hurt. But their Legion of Boom took a big hit when Earl Thomas got injured two weeks ago, and in their first game since his absence, they gave up 38 points to the Green Bay Packers.
Nevertheless, a win this week would clinch them the NFC West, and they could do so against their hated rivals, the LA Rams. Since it was a Thursday Night Football game, both teams unveiled their Color Rush uniforms. The Rams wore a typical all-white uniform, but the Seahawks went outside of the box by going lime green.
Whoever came up with that design needs to be fired, since everyone on Twitter absolutely hated it:
Perhaps this is what Richard Sherman meant when he called Thursday Night Football a “poopfest.” Nobody likes Thursday Night games as is, but when it produces hideous uniforms like this, it leads to people wanting it scrapped altogether.
People shouldn’t have been surprised by these outfits. Anyone who has Madden 17 knew what they looked like, plus they were revealed earlier. But perhaps some were hoping that they were a practical joke. When it turned out that it wasn’t, that’s when they voiced their displeasure.

At this rate, the Seahawks don’t deserve to beat the Rams. After all, the Rams don’t always win, but when they do, it’s usually against the Seahawks. The Rams have taken four of the last five meetings between these two teams, but after the Seahawks decided to sport these hideous outfits, a lot of people wouldn’t mind if they made it five out of six.
